Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program
This scholarship was designed to help raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana and to leverage further the ability of Indiana’s community foundations to enhance the quality of life of the state’s residents.

In 2009, the Legacy Foundation will be eligible to nominate recipients and alternates for up to eight full tuition scholarships for Lake County, Indiana high school graduates. This scholarship must be used to pursue a baccalaureate degree at any accredited public or private Indiana college or university.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholars will receive:

  • scholarships for full tuition and required fees,
  • a special allocation of up to $800 per year for required books and required equipment

Students must commit to four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This scholarship does NOT cover room and board expenses.

This application is a 2-part process and can be downloaded and completed off line (Except for Part I, the financial requirement). However, all completed applications must be printed and returned to the Guidance office at your Lake County High School. The Legacy Foundation Scholarship Committee will consider only one eligible candidate from each high school.
