Legacy Foundation Grant Committee

Legacy Foundation’s Grant Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Development and approval of Grant Guidelines for approval by the Board of Directors
- Review of grant applications to the Lake County Community Fund
- Recommendation for approval of grants to the Board of Directors.
- Development, from time to time, of special programs or proactive grant programs for presentation for approval by the Board of Directors.

Committee Composition
The Grants committee shall consist of no less than nine members and will include broad representation from the Lake County community. The Committee shall reflect various lengths of service and no member shall serve more than six consecutive years. The membership of this committee shall be appointed by the Governance Committee.

Conflict of Interest
It is imperative that the grant process be open, objective, and fair. Each member of the Grants Committee shall be asked to declare any potential conflicts of interest with the grant requests being considered prior to the beginning of each review session. All conflicts of interest shall be recorded in the minutes of the Grants Committee meeting.
