Be Our Partner...	GRANTS Special Initiatives Improving educational attainment for the youth of Lake County. The Center for Mentors is a virtual and place-based set of strategies to improve educational attainment for youth, particularly those in the juvenile justice system, youth who are homeless or at risk of being homeless, and youth in the foster care system. These virtual and physical resources were developed by a community based collaborative team facilitated by Legacy Foundation and made possible through the generous support of Lumina Foundation for Education. The Center for Mentors is comprised of the following components: A web based education mentoring training curriculum Development and maintenance of the “Center for Mentors” website Sustainability Annual Mentoring Summit for Center for Mentors alumni Center for Mentor fixtures suitable for use in organizations or institutions serving families and youth Shaping a Better Future Are You Ready for the Future?
