Scholarship Amount: $ 500 Number of Awards: One (1) Eligibility: Munster High School senior and pursuing a career in visual art or architecture. GPA is also considered. Scholarship Amount: minimum of $2,500 Number of Awards: Depends on number of applicants Eligibility: Children or grandchildren of current employees of G.W. Berkheimer Co. and South Central. Deadline: June 1st Application: Available in April Joseph Trent Morrow/Urban League of NW Indiana Scholarship Established to enable students from Hammond, Gary, and East Chicago to pursue educational dreams they might have believed unattainable. Scholarship Amount: $1,000 Number of Awards: One (1) Eligibility: Applicants must be graduating high school seniors and reside in Gary, Hammond or East Chicago, Indiana; have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher; plan to attend either Indiana University or Indiana University Northwest and pursue a career in either law or banking. Download 2009 brochure Joshua Benjamin Cohen Memorial Scholarship This scholarship was established by Max and Susan Cohen in memory of their beloved son Joshua. This renewable scholarship is awarded to graduating students from Valparaiso High School who demonstrate a high standard of leadership, academic performance, athletic performance and financial need. Scholarship Amount: $2,000 year one and $1,000 after that Number of Awards: up to two (2) Eligibility: Valparaiso High School senior. Pinnick Memorial Scholarship Established by the Pinnick family to continually recognize her dedication and work as an educator in a meaningful and dignified way. Nancy knew first hand the challenges many children face in pursuing college. This scholarship was named for a mentor and coach. Scholarship Amount: $4,000 / year Number of Awards: One (1) Eligibility: Male resident of Indiana, accepted as a full-time freshman student at Purdue University Calumet into the Scholl of Nursing or expect to pursue a degree in education; for SAT minimum requirements see application. Deadline: May 15th Application: PDF Download Schrage Family Scholarship Established by Centier Bank in 1995, this is a renewable scholarship awarded to students who have achieved academic excellence and leadership in the community and in their schools. It is awarded to a graduating senior in each of the communities served by Centier Bank. It is based upon the four values of the Welcome Center's "Celebrate Northwest Indiana Wall": exploration, courage, creativity and innovation.
